Protecting Our Children, Supporting Our Youth
Ghana Youth United stands against bullying, racism, discrimination and violence.
As children return to school, we remind Ghanaian parents and guardians of the importance of regular, open and supportive conversations with their children, from primary school through university.
Bullying is real. Racism is real. Depression is real. Mental health matters.
Every young person deserves to feel safe, respected, heard and supported at school, in their activities and in their local community.
Members of our community recently gathered in Paris to speak out against injustice and discrimination. We were also deeply saddened by news of the tragic death of a young Ghanaian in the United States. We stand with the bereaved family and call for a thorough investigation, accountability and justice under the law.
When one Ghanaian suffers, our entire community feels the pain.
We urge parents to listen closely, take concerns seriously and work with schools, universities and community organisations to address bullying, racism and emotional distress before they escalate.
No Ghanaian child or young person should face these challenges alone. Together, we can build a safer and stronger Ghanaian community in France.
