Ghana Youth United | Professional collaboration opportunity
Ghana Youth United has been contacted by Fiberise, a project founded by Célestine Belma and Lylou Gallon, exploring the conversion of unsellable textile waste into thermal and acoustic insulation panels for buildings in Ghana.
The team is currently validating market demand and investigating technical feasibility. This is an invitation to contribute expertise and feedback, not an announcement of a certified or commercially available construction product.
Who we hope to connect
We welcome Ghanaian diaspora members and professionals in Ghana or abroad with experience in:
- Architecture, building design and civil engineering
- Construction companies and property development
- Building-material supply and distribution
- Textile recycling, waste management and materials processing
- Sustainable building materials and local manufacturing
What Fiberise wants to learn
The founders are seeking perspectives on how Ghanaian buyers and builders assess insulation: price, thermal and acoustic performance, fire safety, availability, certification and installation requirements. They also want candid feedback on whether such a product would meet a genuine need, what would prevent adoption, and what technical or commercial changes would be necessary.
They are also interested in introductions to potential local collaborators in Ghana, including people able to help develop and validate the project.
Express your interest

GHYU will review responses and coordinate suitable introductions with the consent of those involved.
About the project: Fiberise’s introductory presentation describes a proposed panel format of 60 × 120 cm using recycled textile fibres and binding fibres. Its performance figures are to be published following independent laboratory testing.
