Darling Frimpong BOSS LADY

Darling Frimpong, popularly known as Boss Lady, is a young prominent and powerful figure in the Ghanaian diaspora in France. Born in France from an Ashanti father, Nana Yaw Frimpong, and a northern mother, Ramatu Frimpong, she is the middle child of her siblings, a loving mother to her son Khalis, and a woman driven by one mission: striving for the good welfare of the Ghanaian youth in France.

Darling Frimpong has been recognised by multiple prestigious international platforms. Youth Advocate & General Director of Gentle Support Agency

Darling Frimpong has been appointed as Youth Advocate in France. She is also the General Director of Gentle Support Agency, a new office providing a wide range of services for Ghanaian youth in France, adding a new dimension to her already established network of support.

Miss Ghana France @50 — 2007

Darling Frimpong was crowned Miss Ghana France @50 in 2007, a title celebrating Ghanaian excellence and beauty within the diaspora community in France. This recognition marked the beginning of her lifelong dedication to representing Ghanaian youth in France with pride and purpose.

Humanitarian leadership

Her mission has always focused on helping Ghanaian youth in France — whether born here, settled here, or recently arrived — move toward a more stable and fulfilling life through accommodation support, job-search guidance, settlement help, and community care.

Boss Lady Foundation

As CEO of the Boss Lady Foundation, Darling has worked to improve the lives of people facing hardship, including visible support during the Covid-19 pandemic and a hospital donation to the maternity ward at Kumasi Government Hospital.

TV Producer — ɛKorso on Osika TV

Darling Frimpong is the producer of ɛKorso, an interview-format show aired on Osika TV, giving a platform to voices from the Ghanaian diaspora in France and celebrating community stories, culture, and achievement.

Patron of Miss Ghana France — 9 years

For nine consecutive years, Darling served as Patron of Miss Ghana France, overseeing welfare, costumes, and the cultural presentation of contestants — ensuring the pageant represented the best of Ghanaian pride in the diaspora.

Breast Cancer Awareness Ambassador — 2023

In 2023, Darling Frimpong was named Breast Cancer Awareness Ambassador. Her face appeared on advertising buses throughout Paris as part of the awareness campaign, bringing the message to tens of thousands of people across the French capital.

Meeting with Former President Nana Akuffo-Addo — Paris, 2024

In 2024, Darling Frimpong met with Former President Nana Akuffo-Addo Dankwa in Paris — a testament to her standing as a recognised leader and representative of the Ghanaian diaspora in France at the highest levels.

Visit to Ejisu & donation to Ejisu Government Hospital

Darling paid a special visit to the palace of Ejisu Hemaa Yaa Asantewaa II and made a personal donation to Ejisu Government Hospital — continuing her long tradition of giving back to Ghana from France.

GCCP Interim Committee Secretary

Darling Frimpong serves as Secretary of the GCCP Interim Committee — the Ghana Coordinating Council in Paris, a federation of 52 Ghanaian associations in France. In this role she supports the coordination, governance, and administration of the council, reinforcing her standing as a trusted leader at the heart of the Ghanaian diaspora community in France.

Community initiatives

She was part of the organizing team for the Accra in Paris event in 2022, connected with Empire Assistance France, Bola Ray, and former France Ambassador to Ghana Annie-Sophie Avé. She also served as GCCP Ghana Youth Leader from 2020 to 2022 and has coordinated for celebrated Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah. All Chief Leaders, Celebrities and Ambassadors in Ghana know her for her humanity and unfailing dedication to the community.

French Republic recognition

Darling has been personally invited by the French Republic to the prestigious Bastille Day National Day celebrations (2022). She has been received by French Mayors and the Préfet, and met with H.E. Mavis Ama Frimpong, the Ghana Ambassador to France — reflecting her standing as a trusted leader in both Ghanaian diaspora and French official circles.

Work permits & employment rights

She was able to discuss with the Minister about foreigners entering France — specifically whether they can take up a job. The Minister explained that to hold a job, the employee must hold a work authorization (also called a work permit). Otherwise, they cannot be hired.

You can register as a jobseeker if you meet certain conditions:

Be looking for a job.
Be of working age (from 16 years old).
For foreign workers: hold a residence permit allowing them to work in France and register with France Travail.

Researchers who are foreign nationals must have a valid residence permit to receive unemployment benefits (France Travail).

Darling Frimpong is ready to change the story internationally in Europe for the good and better living of the Ghanaian Diaspora. With God by her side, she is prepared to face every challenge and enter this new chapter with determination and vision.
